Peer Review
First, the Editor performs an initial evaluation of each submitted manuscript to determine its suitability for publication in the Journal of Quantum Artificial Intelligence (JQAI). During this stage, the manuscript is assessed based on its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, similarity score using plagiarism detection software (Crossref Similarity Check/Turnitin), methodological soundness, scientific contribution, readability, and compliance with the journal's manuscript preparation guidelines.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are assigned to at least three independent expert reviewers under a Single-Blind Peer Review process, in which the reviewers know the identity of the authors, while the authors remain unaware of the reviewers' identities. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, technical quality, validity of the methodology, significance of the results, clarity of presentation, and overall contribution to the advancement of Quantum Artificial Intelligence research.
The reviewers' comments and recommendations are subsequently forwarded to the corresponding author for revision and response. Authors are expected to address each reviewer comment thoroughly and submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed response to reviewers.
After receiving the revised submission, the editorial team evaluates the revisions and reviewers' recommendations before making the final editorial decision. When necessary, the revised manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation.
The Editor then communicates the final decision to the corresponding author. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing stages to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with the journal's publication standards before being prepared as the final camera-ready version for publication.
